May Bell Finchum, 73-year-old Woodward resident, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006 in the Woodward Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2006 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Jack Armstrong officiating. Private burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Norma " MayBell" (Macon) Finchum was born April 1, 1933; she was the daughter of Atlas and Lilly Macon. On March 12, 1950, she was married to Harry Charles Finchum in Bentonville, Arkansas. They made their home in Springdale, Ark. before moving to Fort Supply in the early sixties. They moved to Jackson, Mo. and moved to Woodward in 1984 when Harry retired. May Bell has continued to live in Woodward since Harry's death on Jan. 13, 1991.

Survivors include one son, Tommy Macon; three sisters, Barbra Bowerman of Tool, Texas; Freda Hammond of Washington; Elma of California; other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband Harry, she was preceded in death by her parents, her son Harry Ray on July 28, 2003, and six brothers and sisters, Edward, Tom, Jack, Q.G., Oliver, and Floyd.
