Dennis (Denny) Merle Fishgrab II

Dennis (Denny) Merle Fishgrab II was born September 2, 1950 at Woodward, Okla., the son of Dennis Merle and Evelyn Fishgrab. He departed this life on August 20, 1983 at the age of 32 years, 11 months and 18 days.

Denny started playing Little League Baseball at 7 years of age. He played through Babe Ruth and on into adlthood. Through all those years he was aided and encouraged by his father.

Denny graduated from Clovis high school in Clovis, N.M. He was reared in a military family and so lived in many states.

Denny was baptized when he was 14 years of age at the Church of Christ in Salina, Kan.

On May 10, 1975, Denny married Ann-Alea Callahan at Carrizzo Springs, Colo. To this union was born one child, Monica Renee. Denny was a loving husband, father and son. His daughter, Monica, who he called "Runty" was a great joy in his live

Denny will be remembered for his quick smile, his friendly ways and his willingness to help his family and friends.

Denny was a member of the Elks Lodge in Lamar; a member of the Spreding Antlers Golf Clug; and Vice President of the Springfield Golf Club. He was a avid hunter and fisherman and he also enjoyed playing golf. Denny spent many hours enjoying these sports with his friends.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, daughter, parents, and two sisters, Marsha (Fishgrab) Smith of Fayetteville, N.C. and Dena Lyn Fishgrab of Amarillo, Tex.; two nieces, Michelle and Kristy Smity of Fayetteville, N.C.; also his aunts, uncles,cousins and a host of friends.
