22 May 2005 Edith Rose (Smith) Foster, 75-year-old resident of Woodward, Okla., died Friday, May 20, 2005 at her home in Woodward.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2005 at the Mooreland Cemetery with Ray Don Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Mooreland Cemetery under the direction of the Zwanziger Funeral Home.
Edith Rose Smith was born Aug. 6, 1929 at Curtis, Okla., to Owen W. and Leotice (Kay) Smith. Edith attended school at Curtis and Fort Supply, Okla. She married Vernus H. (Si) Foster on Aug. 20, 1948 at Taloga, Okla. She worked at various jobs for many years in Woodward. Edith and Si operated the camp grounds at Fort Supply for many years.
She is survived by her sister Velma Ketcherside, Woodward; sister-in-law Oma Smith, and Aunt Mable Smith, both of Mooreland and many nieces and nephews. Edith was assisted by her sister Velma Ketcherside, her nephews Jim Clow and wife Emily and Johnny Ketcherside and wife Michelle, and caregiver and friend Lora Rogers, all of Woodward.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents and husband Si, 1998, brothers Allen, Kenneth and Arlon Smith.
