Death Notice

Ronnie and Kellie Franks of Woodward died Sunday, July 16, 2000 in an automobile accident near Alma, Neb. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Russell Duck officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Frank children with the funeral home acting as custodians.

Obituary

Kellie Marie Franks, 34 year old resident of Woodward, died with her husband, Ronnie, Sunday, July 16, 2000 in an automobile accident near Alma, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00a.m. in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Russell Duck officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Kellie Marie (Mitchell) Franks was born in O'Neill, Nebraska, December 13, 1965, the daughter of Warren and Evelyn (Friedemann) Mitchell. She lived in Stuart, Nebraska for four years, then in Crawford, Nebraska for two years before moving to Fairfield, Nebraska with her family in 1973. She graduated from Sandy Creek High School in Fairfield in 1984. Kellie attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, graduating in 1988. Kellie worked for Mutual of Omaha in Omaha and moved to Woodward in 1990 to continue her work for Mutual of Omaha. On September 9, 1994, Kellie was married to Ronnie Franks in Hollister, Missouri. To this union one son was born, Devin.

Ronnie and Kellie enjoyed gardening and camping. They completed each other and went everywhere together.

She is survived by one son, Devin of the home; two step-sons, Josh and Curtis; her parents, Warren and Evelyn Mitchell, Fairfield, Nebraska; one brother Casey Mitchell, Oakland, California; one sister, Colleen Mansfield and husband Hughson and their children, Mitchell and Cinday, Chadron, Nebraska; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franks Childrens Fund with the funeral home as custodian of the fund.
