Graveside services for Mrs. Charlotte L. Freed, 76 year old Woodward resident, will be Friday, June 28 at 10:00 a.m. in the Elmwood Cemetery. The Reverend Clinton Heusel will officiate. Arrangements are by Good Samaritan Funeral Service.

Charlotte Louise Freed was born June 6, 1915 in Wichita, Kansas to Charles W. and Nina Delp. The family homesteaded southwest of Woodward and then when she was age five they moved in to Woodward. She graduated from the Woodward High School and Woodward Junior College and then attended Northwestern State University in Alva. She later transferred to the University of Oklahoma where she graduated with a B. A. Degree in education. Charlotte taught four years in rural Woodward County and for 30 years in Woodward Puplic Schools. On February 20, 1947 she was married to Leroy A. Freed at Winfield, Kansas.

She enjoyed travel, camping, fishing and was a great lover of dogs. She was a member of the first United Methodist Church in Woodward

Mrs. Freed died June 26 in the Woodward Hospital and Health Center.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy, of the home; a nephew and his wife, Junior and Jackie Baird, and a niece, Geraldine Baird, all of Woodward; Cousins, Alieen Smith of Woodward, Olean Sober of Edmond, Juanita Stats of Liberal, Kansas and Harold Wells of Creede, Colorado, great neices and nephews and many friends.
