Virgil L. Fuller, 63-year-old Woodward resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007 in the Oklahoma Heart Hospital, Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2007 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Wisniewsky officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Virgil Lee Fuller was born on Aug. 21, 1943 in Carnegie, Okla. on Doodle Bug Hill to Willie and Pansey (Hodo) Fuller. Virgil was one of 17 children and went to school in Chickasha. He received his GED while in the U.S. Air Force. He was united in marriage to Gayle Farmer on March 3, 1963 in Tucson, Ariz. while he was in the service. They were blessed with four children, Robert Lee, Georgia, Scott, and Stacey. Virgil went to work in the auto supply business. He drove trucks and worked for about six years running the Auto House. The family moved to Chickasha in 1980 and that same year they moved to Amarillo, Texas. Virgil attended Amarillo College and received his Bachelor's Degree. He went to work for Natural Gas Pipeline of America in 1984 in Fritch, Texas. He was transferred to Woodward in 1985 where he worked until he had a Brain Stem Stroke in 1995.

Virgil enjoyed woodworking and making crosses for other people. He was such an intelligent person, if there was something nobody could fix, he was able to fix it. Virgil always thought of others before himself. He loved his family and God and was very proud of his children and grandchildren and loved to share a good joke.

Virgil is survived by his wife Gayle of the home; children Georgia Wood and husband Jim; Scott Fuller and wife Tara; Stacey Schuermann and husband Tracy all of Woodward; two brothers, Weldon Fuller and wife Marilyn; Wayne Fuller all of Chickasha; six sisters, Dorthy Martin; Wanda Grubbs; Muriel Oliphant all of Chickasha; Ruth Mabry and husband Jessie; Ruby Dirkeson both of Carnegie; Linda Currie and husband Mark of North Little Rock, Ark.; grandchildren, Heather Hertzer and husband Clayton; Monica Fuller; Kenny Schuermann; Courtney Fuller, Scott Stufflebean, Kinsey Schuermann; Robert Fuller; Jennifer Eagon and husband Blaine; T. J. Wood and Kelley Wood and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Robert who died on February 22, 1990; his parents; six sisters, Grace, Juanita, Beede, Anna, Bessie and Thelma; two brothers, Billy and Roy.
