Gardner Rites Slated Sunday

Funeral services for Charles Edward Garnder Jr., 25, Woodward, will be held in the First Methodist church, with the Rev. J. J. Stowe officiating at 3 pm Sunday. Burial under the direction of Stecher Mortuary will be in the Mooreland Cemetery.

Born at Taloga on September 30, 1948, Gardner died following a lengthy ilness Wednesday at the family home, 1707 Oak Avenue. He attended grade school at Alva and high school in Woodward, graduating in 1956.

Gardner graduated from Oklahoma State University and received his masters degree in 1960. Following his graduation he worked for Lockheed Aircraft Co., as an engineer, until ill health forced him to return to Woodward in January. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Gardner sr., Woodward; a brother, Jay of Chico, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Morris Taylor, Sherman Oaks, Calif.; Mrs. Fred brand, Silver Springs, Md., and Darla of the home; two grandmothers, Mrs. Lora Roberts, Oklahoma City and Mrs. Mary Gardner, Mooreland
