Phillip R. Gaston was born Aug. 7, 1955 in Woodward, Okla. to Emet L. (Deke) and Betty (Gillenwaters) Gaston. He grew up at Fort Supply where he enjoyed many Sunday afternoons at the Wanger and Easterwood Farms.
He graduated with the Fort Supply class of 1973. He then attended Oklahoma Baptist University graduating with a BA degree in 1980. Phillip had lived in Oklahoma City, Rehoboth, Del., and San Francisco, Calif. In San Francisco, he worked as a network manager for a law firm and also did computer consulting.
Phillip was a member of the Glide Memorial United Methodist Church in San Francisco. He enjoyed traveling to Europe and Canada and spending time at the Pacific Ocean.
Mr. Gaston died Aug. 30, 2007 at San Francisco, Calif. At his request he was cremated and the ashes scattered at sea. Arrangements were by Johnson's Good Samaritan Funeral Service.
He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Gaston.
He is survived by his father and second Mom, Deke and Bonita Gaston of Fort Supply; two sisters and their husbands, Dr. Jeanette and Jack Zamberlin of Edmond, Okla. and Ralinda and Ronnie Wilson of Laverne, Okla.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
