Melie "Midge" Niemeier Gilmore, 94 year old resident of Woodward, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at the Woodward Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Zwanziger Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Richard McFarlin officiating. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery, under the direction of the Zwanziger Funeral Home.
Midge was born in Tangier, Okla., Nov.30, 1910 to Gustav and Annie (Hasemeier) Niemeier. She married Harold Gilmore June 7, 1946. Harold owned and operated Harold's Texaco Station in Woodward. She worked at Martinson's Grocery, Adams Bros. and United Grocery Stores. She also worked in the nursery at the First Presbyterian Church for 30 years. Midge love to tat and crochet.
Midge was prededed in death by her husband Harold Gilmore, three brothers, Louie, Bill and Fred Niemeier, and three sisters Emma Baker, Lydia Hilbert and Katie Taylor.
She is survived by her sister Hilda Niemeier and nephews, Harvey Hilbert and Bill Niemeier, two nieces, Dixie Taylor Bogusky and Sue Niemeier Ray and a sister-in-law, Ila Taylor Neimeier.
