Funeral services for Joan (Hatchett) Golden, 75-year-old Fort Supply resident, will be Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Fort Supply United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Curtis will officiate. Interment will be at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Fort Supply under direction of Johnson's Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Woodward.

Joan Irene Hatchett Golden was born March 28, 1931 at St. Louis, Mo., to John Curtis and Veda (Bowers) Johnson. She grew up in Missouri and moved to Fort Supply, Okla. in 1953 where she went to work for Western State Hospital. On June 21, 1956 she was married to Windle Hatchett and they continued their home in Fort Supply. Windle died April 20, 1993. Later Joan and Loyd Golden shared their vows and enjoyed the last three years together. She retired from Western State Hospital after 33 years of service.

She was a member of the Fort Supply United Methodist Church. She had played softball on the Fort Supply town team and was an avid league bowler for many years. She also enjoyed quilting.

Joan died March 14, 2007 at the Woodward Regional Hospital.

She is survived by Loyd Golden of the home; two sons, Wayne Vaughn and his wife Alvida of Fort Supply, and Kenneth Hatchett of Fort Supply; a stepson, Caroll Golden of Magna, Utah and a stepdaughter, Carolyn Gustafson and her husband Don of Woodward; one brother, John Johnson of Gower, Mo.; four sisters, Reva Williamson of Fort Collins, Colo., Juanita Hutchinson of Latour, Mo., Wanda Brooks of Lone Jack, Mo., and Sylvia Clutter of Bates, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Amber Vaughn, Emily Vaughn, Iris Jackson, Shawn Coats, Shasta McWhorter, Nicole Golden, Trevor Golden and Joe Golden; and seven great-grandchildren, Ashley Vaughn, Diamond Drone, Tyler Tolle, Katie Coats, Cameron Coats, Celestina Calvillo, Annie Calvillo and Ricky Calvillo.
