Billy Charles Graham was born Feb. 12, 1938 west of Fairview, Okla. to Charlie Clarence Graham and Alta Alice (Horn) Graham. Bill's family lived in Fairview and Bill graduated from Fairview High School. He later went on to attend Oklahoma A & M. He came home early to help care for his mother, who had become ill. He worked for the Fairview post office for several years as a carrier. He later worked for Bill Munn in Enid. In 1979, he started working in the oilfield for Gainesville Fuel. He worked as a salesman for Gainesville Fuel for 28 years from February 1979 until his death. On July 31, 1965, Bill was married to Betty Jo Osborn at the Mooreland Church of Christ. Three children were blessed into this union, Randal, Ronda and Gina. Bill's daughter Lynne came to live with them shortly thereafter. In February of 1980, they joyously expanded their clan to include Gary and BJ. They also helped raise the boys brother, Marvin. In 1987 their family grew again to include their 5th son Brian Schexnider. Bill became a Christian in 1965 just before marrying Betty, developing a relationship with God and faith which helped sustain them through the ups and downs. Bill was an active member and served as treasurer of the Mooreland Church of Christ for many years. He loved spending time with his family, the church and telling stories. Bill served as Mooreland councilman for many years and was Mooreland's mayor for 8 years. Bill's effect on people is unmistakable and he has left a huge hole in a lot of people's lives.
