Lisa Gayle Hacker, 42-year-old Woodward resident, died Friday June 2, 2007 at home due to complications from pneumonia. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Woodward with the Rev. Brett Allen and the Rev. Jim Steenbergen officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery with services conducted by the Billings Funeral Home.

Lisa Gayle Hacker was born March 3, 1965 in Liberal, Kan.; she was the daughter of Walter Lee and Patricia Arlene (Kirkwood) Hacker. Lisa was raised in Woodward and attended the Woodward Public Schools. She graduated in 1984 from Woodward High School. Most recently, she had been employed as a temporary custodian at Cedar Heights Elementary School. Lisa lived at home with her parents.

Lisa did not know a stranger. She could make conversation with anyone and often did. She loved her family fiercely. Lisa had a kind and gentleness about her that made everyone feel better. Although Lisa did not have any children, she loved her nieces and nephew like they were her own. She had a big, tender heart. She cared about everyone, even those she barely knew. Lisa liked putting together puzzles, the really hard ones. She also liked to stay up late and watch television. This usually lead to many long, deep conversations with her dad.

Lisa enjoyed fishing and being outside. However, she loved watching her brother, Darren, race even more. She was his biggest fan! Lisa also enjoyed having coffee with her best friends and neighbors, Gina and Mae. The one thing that she valued over all was being AUNT LISA! She adored her two nieces and nephew. They will miss her greatly.

Lisa is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and her beloved brother, David.

She is survived by her father and mother, Walt and Arlene of the home; her brother, Darren and his wife, Kimberly of Woodward; her nieces Saydee Beth Adams and Rilee Elizabeth Hacker and nephew, Rayce David Hacker all of Woodward. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

The family wishes to thank all of those that have called and came by to express their sympathy.
