Mildred Virginia (Feagins) Hacker passed away at the age of 85 on May 27, 2007 in the Ochiltree General Hospital, Perryton, Texas. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson's Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker, Texas.

Mildred was born on May 21, 1922, the daughter of Benjamin B. and Hazel Feagins and was raised in Beaver County, Okla. She graduated from Balko High School with the Class of 1939. She married William Lee Hacker on Aug. 18, 1942 in Sulphur, Okla. Mr. Hacker was in the U. S. Coast Guard during WW II and they lived in Florida, California and Texas while he was in the service.

During this union two daughters were born, Mona Louise and Leah Kathleen. They moved back to the farm north and west of Booker, Texas in 1947. They lived on the farm until 1995 when they moved to town. Later Bill and Marie lived at Twin Oaks Manor in Booker, Texas.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband William Lee Hacker on Dec. 7, 2003 and her mother and father Benjamin B. and Hazel Pulis Feagins, one brother and sister-in-law Clifford and Martha Pulis and a sister that died in infancy.

Survivors include two daughters, Mona and husband Dennis Gensman of Darrouzett and Leah and Husband Terry Oblander of Woodward, Okla.; her grandchildren Angela and husband Tommie Rhoades of Woodward, Okla., Tyson and wife Deena Morley of Lubbock, Texas, Vesta Lynn and husband Noah Richardson of Oakland, Oregon, Nicole Gensman of Amarillo and Skyler Gensman of Belen, N. M.; and two great-grandchildren Damian McVeigh Rhoades and Henry Richardson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11537, Alexandria, VA 22312, please include memo for donations to stay in the Texas Panhandle, or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave. 7th floor, New York, N. Y. 10001.
