Services Held For Ed Hamlin

Funeral services for Edgar O. Hamlin were held this morning at 11 a. m. in the Chapel of the Byron Mason Funeral home with Rev. Lloyd Callahan, pastor of the Bible Baptist church officiating. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery.

Mr. Hamlin died Saturday at his home in Woodward following an extended illness.

He was born January 15, 1884 at Bernard, N. C. In 1907 he came to Shattuck where he lived until 1914 when he came to Woodward. He worked as a barber for over 50 years.

On December 12, 1912 he was united in marriage to Maria Pound at Arnett.

Survivors include his wife, Marie of the home, seven daughters, Mrs. Margaret Stout, Midland, Tex.; Mrs. Ollie Caldwell, Heosho, Mo.; Mrs. Dorothy Renshaw, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Eleanor Hewitt, Villa Platte, La.; Mrs. Andy Funchar, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. George Clifford, Conan, Okla., and Mrs. Glen Bowers, Dickison, S. D.; five sons, Roland, Tulsa; Bill, Buffalo; Jim, Covis, N. M.; Cpl. Mas, Seattle, Wash., and Sammy of the home; and 24 grandchildren; also three brothers, Courtney, Springfield, Ill.; Santa, Leesburg, Mo., and Dewey, Burboun, Mo.; and one sister, Mrs. Anna Brown, Bourbon, Mo.
