Linda Kay (Ladd) Hill was born April 12, 1948 in Vici, Okla. to Lloyd and Ilo (Helmick) Ladd. She passed from this life on May 6, 2007 while recovering from recent surgery.
Linda spent most of her life in her hometown of Vici. She went from first grade to graduation in the Vici Schools.
Linda met and married the love of her life, Paul Duane Hill, on Aug. 5, 1967 in the First United Methodist Church of Woodward, Oklahoma. Their marriage was blessed with the birth of three children, Lisa, Barry, and Jody. They made their home for a short time in Woodward before returning to live in Vici.
Linda worked professionally outside the home as a Paraprofessional at Westwood Elementary from 1987 to 1994. In 1999 she began working for the Vici Nursing Home as an Activities and Social Services Director up until the time of her recent illness. She was a genuine asset to the nursing home and its residents and they greatly appreciated her dedication to them.
Linda was a loving wife and mother to her family. She enjoyed spending her leisure time playing dominoes and cards.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ilo Ladd, and by sisters, Myra Nebhut and Leona Newman.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Paul of the home; her children, Lisa Hoffman and husband Russell of Byron, Okla., Jody Myers and husband Bill of Moore, Okla., and Barry Hill and wife Colleen of Mooreland, Okla.; her grandchildren, Keenan and Delissa Hoffman, Hillary, Emily and Norah Hill; several aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, and many devoted friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 9, 2007 in the First United Methodist Church, Vici, Okla. with interment following in Sunnyside Cemetery. Services arranged by Shaw Funeral Home, Vici, Okla.
