James Arthur Immell, 38, of LaJunta, Colo, died Feb. 8, following a heart attack.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 in the Otero Junior College Humanities Center, with brial in Fairview Cemetery at LaJunta.

He was born March 24, 1946 in Woodward. He moved to Colorado in 1957 with his parents. They lived in Swink where he graduated from high school. He moved to La Junta in 1964. He was married to Carolyn Edenburn in La Junta on Dec. 23,1964.

He was a member of Euclid Lodge No.64, AF&AN, and Chivington Chapter No. 32, Order of Eastern Star and the Natinal Rifle Association. He was a police officer and was promoted to Sargeant in 1983.

Survivors are his wife, Carolyn, of the home; two daughters, Ronda Kay and Janet Lavon, of the home; his mother, Wanda Jackson, Smith Center, Kans.; one brother, Walter Max Imell, Lahoma, Okla.; his grandmother Bertha Barnett, Woodward.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Child Abuse Team in care of the Department of Social services, Otero County Courthouse, P. O. Bo 494, La Junta, Colo. 81050.
