Harry E. Karns, 101 year old resident of Woodward, died June 26, 2000 at the Woodward Hospital and Health Center. Funeral services will beheld at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2000 in the Zwanziger Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Johnnie Sharpton officiating, burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, under the direction of the Zwanziger Funeral Home.
Harry Edward Karns was born April 9, 1899 at Beaver City, Nebraska to William and Hannah Karns. He married Iva Thompson at Perryton, Texas.Harry worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for over 35 years.
He is survived by two sons Harry Karns of Oklahoma City, Jesse Karns Wichita, Kansas; by a step-son Gene Karns of Perryton, Texas; by several nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Iva, a step-son, two brothers, and two sisters.
