Mrs. Carrie Knittel, 69 Mooreland, died Friday in Presbyterian Hospital, Oklahoma City.

Funeral liturgy will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Mooreland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Alan J. Loth, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mooreland Cemetery under direction of Billings Funeral Home. Wake Services will be at 8 p.m. Sunday in Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce K. Natsuhara officiating.

Carrie Lucille French was born Oct. 10, 1914 at Freedom. She attended Pleasant Valley School. She was married to Horace Wilson in 1930 at Alva. He preceded her in death in 1945. She was married to Hubert Leo Knittel, Sept. 16, 1950 at Woodward. They made their home in Mooreland. IN 1955, they moved to Amarillo and returned to Mooreland in 1958. In November of 1965, they started the Knittel Grocery and operated it for nine years before they retired. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1983. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Donna) Smith, Mooreland; and Mrs. Keith (Linda) Elwood, Woodward; three step-daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Joy) Richmond, Mooreland; Mrs. Arnold (Betty) Nagy, Pleasantville, N. J.; Mrs. Francis (Sue) Harvey, Corpus Christi, Tex.; four sons, Dean Wilson, Freedom, Jim Wilson, Woodward, Jack Wilson, Beckville, Texas, and Harold Wilson, Kans.; two step-sons, Bill Knittel, Weatherford, and John Knittel, Norman; one brother and four sisters, 39 grandchildren and 19 great grand children.
