Leslie L. Minnick, 79-year-old Fargo resident, died Sunday, February 6, 2000 in Woodward Hospital and Health Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a. m. in the Fargo United Methodist Church with the Reverand Olen Payton officiating. Burial will follow in the Fargo Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Leslie Leo Minnick was born on August 31, 1920 in the Keenan Community of Woodward County, Oklahoma to Lucian Leo and Essie Marie (Hopkins) Minnick. Leslie attended the Doris Country School in the Kennan Community. After graduation he went to work for the family farm. In the early 1930's Leslie went to work for the A. S. C. S. office, where he measured wheat ground for area farmers. On June 30, 1941 he was married to Coralee Drake in Fargo, Oklahoma. To this union two children were born, Betty and Dale. In the early 1950's Leslie traded machinery all over the southwest area and continued doing this until the mid 1970's. He was also involved in his son's business Minnick Angus.

He was a member of the Fargo United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Coralee of the home; one daughter Betty Ball and husband Roy of Mooreland; one daughter-in-law Laura Minnick of Woodward; one sister Violet Allen and husband John of Norman; six grandchildren, Lynda Ball of Mooreland; Brenda Swearingen and husband Robert of San Antonio, Texas; Greg Grunewald, Sarah Grunewald both of Stillwater; Sage Minnick and Dallyn Minnick both of Woodward; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Dale on August 26,1998.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fargo United Methodist Church Building Fund with the funeral home acting as custodian.
