Emma Mooney, 93

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Mooney, 93 year old resident of Northwest Oklahoma since 1901, were held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, in the Stecher Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. Delbert Harris, minister of the Jehovahs Witnesses officiated and burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.

Emma Pettengill was born in Wilson County, Kan., on Oct. 23, 1879, and died early Monday, April 16, in the Woodward Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. On Feb. 2, 1898 she was married to Alvin Mooney and he preceded her in death in 1940. In 1901 they moved to Harper County and filed on a claim where they lived until 1910, when they moved to Woodward County. She has made her home in Woodward for many years. She was converted into the Church of God at the age of 14.

Survivors are her son, Earl Mooney, Woodward, three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
