Death Notice

Wendell L. Morrison, 75 year old Woodward resident, died Oct. 8, 2000, in Woodward Hospital and Health Center. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Elmwood Cemetery under the directin of Good Samaritan Funeral Service.

Obituary,

Wendall Lamar Morrison, 75, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2000, He was born on April 6, 1925 to Damon and Mabel (Ward) Morrison in Great Bend, Kansas. He attended school in Woodward and at the age of 16 went into the Navy. He served 5 1/2 years during World War II.

On October 16, 1948 he married Betty Bosford. Wendall taught Sunday School, was a Scout Master, and was active with Kids Inc. in its early years. He was deeply devoted to his family. He and Betty managed the Sands Motel and Briarwood Apartments before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Naomi Miller, on grandson his "Buddy" Little Gary Pearson, and one Great-Grandson; Austin Todd.

He is survived by his wife Betty, 2 sons; Richard Morrison and wife Jan, of Ventura, California, Doug Morrison and wife Marty; 2 daughters, Wynda Boggs and husband Jeff; Renda Solley and husband Larry all of Woodward; 15 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren; 3 brohters; Damon of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, Bob and Gordon of Woodward, and 1 sister Winona Crites and husband Lee of Kansas City, KS.

His memory and love will live in our hearts forever and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

At Wendall's request, there will be a Graveside Funeral Service for family and friends, 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2000 at Elmwood Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the New Covenant Church.
