Woodward, Okla. Jason L. Newell, 25 year old Woodward resident, died Thursday, May 28, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with his cousin, Ketrick Newell officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Jason Lee Newell was born September 20, 1983 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Kevin Lee and Denise Yvonne (Thompson) Newell. He was reared in Woodward and attended school in Woodward and later in Mooreland. Jason worked in construction most of his life. He lived most of his older life in Oklahoma City.

He loved music(Trance/Progressive House), fishing, going to the lake or river and he loved to BBQ. Jason loved having fun with his friends and family, they meant the world to him. His friends, music, family and his dog Q-ball gave him the most enjoyment in life. He always said, "I know there is an easier way to do this, we just have to figure it out." He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his father, Kevin Lee Newell of Mooreland; his mother, Denise Yvonne Thompson of Texas; two brothers, Jeremy Wade Newell of Woodward, Cody Villanueva of Texas; other relatives and many good friends.

Jason was all about having a good time everyday.

He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Gerald Newell and Grandma Margie Newell.
