Services Held Tuesday for Mrs. Raymond Payne

Funeral services were held on Tuesday of this week at the Knittel Fueral Home for Mrs. Raymond Payne, who died Saturday, April 21, following an extended illenss. Rev. Paul Gilbert, pastor of the assembly of God church, officated. Burialwas in Mooreland cemetery.

Minnie Hezlep, daughter of James and Mary Hezlep, was born at Independence, Kansas, March 14, 1882. She departed this life April 21, 1956 at Western State Hospital. Ft. Supply at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 7 days.

At an early age she was united with the Christian church, and at the time of her marriage to Raymond Payne, January 25, 1903 she was a Sunday school teacher.

After their marriage they moved to Oklahoma, locating on a farm about 18 miles southeast of Mooreland in the Cedardale community, where they lived until a short time ago when they moved to Mooreland.

Mr. and Mrs. Payne have both been in ill health for quite some time.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, Raymond Payne; one brother, Fred Hezlep of Canton, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. C. E. Quick of Canton, Ill. and many friends and neigbors.
