Payne, 73
Waverly H. Payne, 73, Sharon, died late Saturday in Vici Nurshing Home following a five year illness.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Sharon United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dale Dyer, pastor, will officaiate. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery under direction of Stecher Mortuary.
He was born near Cedardale, May 9, 1911. He graduated from High School in Ringwood, in 1930.
On Aug. 1, 1937 he was married to Helen Bradshaw at Cedardale. They lived southwest of Quinlan on the Vickery Ranch until 1945 when they moved to Sharon. He operated the Sharon Feed Mill and grain elevator until ill health forced his retirement. He was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, of the home; one son, Keith Payne, Woodward, and two daughters Mrs. Linda Knaak, San Diego, and Mrs. Kathy Crooks, Norman; and three grandchildren.
