Roy R. Rutledge of Martinsville, Ind., died February 13, 1990, at Methodist Hospital in Merion Ind. He was born June 16, 1912, in Mooreland, the son of Clifton E. and Mary Luella Rutledge.
Roy was married to Beulah Trissel on September 15, 1935. He farmed in Oklahoma and was manager of large registered cattle operations throughout the United States from 1955 to 1982 when he retired.
Rutledge was a member of the Christian Church and raised miniature horses as a hobby. He was past president of the Illinois Polled Shorthorn Association and a member of the American Chianina Association.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 15, and burial was made in New South Park Cemetery in Martinsyille.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah, of the home; one son, Dallas, of Newman, Ill.; two daughters, Patricia Kidwell of Palm Springs, Calif, and Peggy Baldwin of Centerton, Ind.; three brothers, Carl Rutledge and Ray Rutledge of Woodward and Ora Rutledge of Mooreland; four sisters, Bertha Carman of Mooreland, Ruby Trent and Lulu Lehr of Woodward, and Mary Dean of Wagoner; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Irville, George, Henry, Calvin and Charles.
