Mrs. Clint Scates Dies Saturday
Mrs. Nellie R. Scates, wife of Clint Scates, farmer and stockman, Route 1, Woodward, died in Memorial hospital Saturday night following a years illness.
Mrs. Scates was born in Woodbine, Iowa on September 16, 1895 and came to Woodward county in 1902. On December 15, 1915 she was married to Clint Scates in Woodward and they have made Woodward county their home since that time.
She was a member of the Christian Church of Richmond.
She is survived by her husband, Clint Scates, two sons, Kenneth Lee of the home and Lyle Keith, Woodward; two sisters, Mrs. C. A. Blaylock and Mrs. Frank Keller, Woodward, and one brother, Henry J. Russau, Portland, Oregon.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 oclock Tuesday, September 12, 1950 in the First Baptist church of Woodward with Rev. L. O. McCracken, pastor, and Rev. Everett Johnson, pastor of the Church of Christ at Mooreland, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery with the Stecher Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
