Rites Set On Friday For Mrs. Wells

Funeral services for Mrs. J. L. (Bertha) Wells, 88, long-time Woodward county resident, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at First Methodist church with the Rev. Robert DeMoss, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery, under direction of Stecher Mortuary.

Mrs. Wells was born ad Esbond, Kans., July 4, 1888, and died Thursday in Woodward. She married Joseph Leroy Wells at Mankato, Kans., February 27 1907, and in February 1908 they moved to Woodward where she had lived until a short time ago. She was a member of the First Methodist church and a charter member of the Pleasant Jewell Home Demonstration Club.

She is survived by a son, Ernest Wells of Woodward, five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
