Wells Rites Are Held This P. M.
Woman Dies At Oklahoma City
Funeral services were to be held this afternoon for Miss Leona May Wells, 27 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Wells of Woodward, who died at her home at Oklahoma City Saturday night after an illness of five months.
The body was returned to Woodward by the Chenoweth Mortuary and the final rites were to be held at 3 p.m. at the Methodist church with Rev. R. A. Anderson officiating. Burial was to be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Miss Wells attended rural school in Woodward county and was graduated from the Woodward High school. Later she attended Northwestern State Teachers college at Alva and taught several years in Woodward county schools. She also attended Hills Business College at Oklahoma City. For the past year she has been employed as a stenographer for the State Finance company in Oklahoma City.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Woodward.
Miss Wells leaves her parents, two brothers, Rev. C. A. Wells of Booker, Tex., and Harold Wells of Woodward, and two sisters, Mrs. Wilbur Sober and Miss Juanita Wells, both of Oklahoma City.
