James F. Wylie Dies Monday (December 15, 1969); Services Pend
James F. Wylie, 208 Oklahoma avenue, Woodward, died late Monday in Woodward Memorial hospital following a short illness.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Stecher mortuary.
James Franklin Wylie was born at Hoisington, Kans., on October 7, 1885. He moved from Kansas to the Quinlan community at 1901 and lived there until 1965 when he moved to Woodward. He was a member of the Methodist church. In 1900 he married Winnie Winder and she preceded him in death. On March 15, 1919, he married Maude Stoker and she preceded him in death on October 16, 1967.
Survivors are two sons, Orie, Porterville, Calif.; and Leonard Wylie, Woodward; nine daughters, Mrs. Edith Kragh, Waynoka, Mrs. Loreene Knoerr, Willingham, Calif.; Mrs. Delorse Berry, Gardena, Calif., Miss Marie Wylie, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Bessie Donahue, Oak Lawn, Ill., Mrs. Dorothy Russell and Mrs. Carol Stevens, Anadarko, Okla., Mrs. Mary Shurtz, Woodward and Mrs. Margaret Tuck, Fargo; a brother, Earl Wylie, Enid, and three sisters, Mrs. Rose Cook, and Mrs. Alma Dauphin, Mooreland and Mrs. Mae Lewis, Santa Monica, Calif., 29 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
