A Lone Grave

FREILAND:
Minnie - born October 4, 1884 - died August 10, 1901.
Much research has been done on this, and it is more than probable that when Minnie had a brother that died, the Highland Cemetery had been formed and as the family marked his grave; they also included the information of Minnie on his stone. This is still in good condition at Highland Cemetery.

Location: From the Stop in Vici, Oklahoma on Highway 34, go north 3 miles, east 1 mile, and north 7/10 of a mile. It is in the trees on the east side of the road.
Remarks: This land is owned by a Mr. Winter who lives in Texas.

Abandoned Cemetery (Keenan)
Location: 13 miles west of Sharon, Oklahoma on the southwest corner of the intersection. There used to be a community named Keenan near here but it blew away in the tornado (1947) and was not rebuilt. Most of the bodies buried here were moved to other cemeteries. Of the dozen or so markers still standing, most are unreadable. Very overgrown.

Lathrop Cemetery

Location: From the corner of Ninth Street and Oklahoma Avenue in Woodward, Oklahoma, go 10 miles north, 5 miles east, and 1/2 mile north.
The cemetery was named for the family who owned the Lathrop store on the corner just south of the cemetery.
