Federal Court Will Start February 18
Will Be Long Session; Grand Jury Ordered Drawn;
Draft Dodgers and "Leggers" Sentenced To County Jail
Federal Judge John H. Cotteral yesterday ordered a grand jury drawn which will meet February 18 in this city. According to John A. Fain, United States Attorney, the grand jury will hold a long session.
Selling whiskey to United States Soldiers in uniform proved the undoing of Lynn Price, of Lawton. Price appeared in the federal court yesterday before Judge Cotteral and was sentenced to serve 30 days in the Logan County Jail. The offense was committed in Lawton.
Three men within the draft age yesterday appeared before Judge Cotteral and entered pleas of guilty to charges of failuse (sic) to register June 5.Each was sentenced to serve 30 days in the Logan County Jail and to be inducted immediately into the military service following the serving of their sentence. The men were David S. Taves and Henry Haggans, Woods county and J. E. Easley, Tillman County.

MAN GRABBED BY OFFICERS
Otto Lorenz, for four years captain of the Oklahoma City fire department, who was forced to resign under fire Thursday, was arrested Friday evening by United States Marshal Newell on a presidential warrant. Lorenz is ultra pro-German and during the last Red Cross campaign told women solicitors that he would give nothing toward winning the war for the United States, but on the contrary he was saving his money to give to the kaiser and the fatherland.
