The Hennessey Clipper
October 5, 1894

On the 24th of September a young man named Abram Myers, who lives in L County, Oklahoma, stole four mules, two sets of harness, and a wagon, from Reub. Lake, who resides in the same county not far from Round Pond. Mr. Lake at once offered a reward of $50 for the recovery of the mules and the apprehension of the thief. This set the Taylor brothers, Tom and Lee, at work on the case and on the 27th they captured Myers, 25 miles southwest of Camp Supply in the western part of the strip, and recovered all of the stolen property. Myers is a brother to Billy Myers who was recently killed at Dover by a freight train. He was taken to Round Pond last Monday and turned over to the sheriff. The Taylor boys did some big riding to make the capture and earned their reward by hard work.
