Take a boy away from home, and don't let him know where he'll go.
A stop here, a stop there, but active fighting is his family's fear.
A tear falls as they pray--"God, just let me see him one more day."
Nine monthes doesn't seem long, but when you can't reach him-- time just won't roll on.
Before you know it he'll be home and tears of joy will fill our eyes.
As do his-- yet he is happy to be back, and hold his loved ones near.
The tears in his eyes are not so dear.
His "brother" now a cripple, his other is no more.
His body has made it home---
But his mind never more. |
