Dortis R. Carmichael, P. O. 1-C

After 15 months overseas duty with the Seabees in construction work, Carmichael was sent to the naval hospital on the west coast for treatment of a back injury.

He entered the service May 4, 1942.

He attended Crescent schools and worked at the Hildreth Ice company there before induction.
