1st Lt. Frank J. Schmidt, Jr.

Pilot of a P-47 Thunderbolt plane, has been in the South Pacific area since May 1943 and is now in New Guinea.

Recently received an air medal.

He is 21 years of age and entered the service on January 21, 1941.

Graduated from Guthrie highschool and attended Central State college, Edmond.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Schmidt live at 505 E. Noble.
