These are obituaries that I and many others have donated. Mine were transcribed from old newspapers. I got the microfilms through interlibrary loan from the University of Oregon. There are also many others who have donated. If there is no contributor on it, it is something I have transcribed. If there is no link on the contributor's name, they have no further information about that person. It is someone extra on a copy of their families information.

If you have any obituaries you can donate, please drop a line to Janine M. Bork.Your information can help others.

Emma CAMPBELL

John CAMPBELL

Robert CAMPBELL

Emma Campbell

Death of Mrs. Emma Campbell, a former resident of Union, died at Logan, Utah, May 17, 1911, at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 11 days. The funeral took place in Union Saturday May 20, at 2 p. m. from the M. E. Church.

Mrs. Emma Campbell was formerly Mrs. J, E, Yowell, and leaves two sons and three daughters of her immediate family, aside from her husband, Mr. Campbell, who resides at Logan, Utah.

Old timers will remember J. E. Yowell, who was assessor of Union county in 1865. He came up from California in 1860 and owned the old toll road between North Powder and Union. The lady who afterward became his wife was born in the city of Baltimore, Maryland, in 1836, and they were married in Union about 1867. They were the parents of Thay and Clara Yowell, well known by many of our people.

The body of Mrs. Campbell was laid to rest beside that of her first husband in the Union cemetery.

ROBERT CAMPBELL PASSES AWAY

Word was received here this week of the death of Robert Campbell which occurred at Palto Alto, California, where he had been confined in an open-air sanitorium for several months. Mr. Campbell spent his early life in North Powder with his foster parents Mr. and Mrs. H.P. Campbell, who moved to Portland several years ago, where Robert resided, until he answered the call of his country and enlisted for overseas service. It was while stationed in the Hawaiian Islands that he contracted tuberculosis which resulted in his death. The burial was held in Palo Alto with full military service.

Mrs. J. Hartwell York of this city is a sister of the deceased. Mrs. York visited with her brother at Christmas time, and did not attend the funeral services.
