Mrs. Daisy Rundall received word recently of the death of her brother, Jack Gibson of Medord, Ore. Mr. Gibson was born in Cove in 1890 and received his education in the Cove school. He was married Aug. 5, 1912 to Nellie Glassen of Elgin. The couple moved to Elgin for a while, then Mr. Gibson moved to Seaside, Ore., where he lived for a period of time before moving to Medford. He was a carpenter and contractor, and built houses in Elgin, Seaside and Medford. He is survived by his wife La Veta, one daughter, Shirley Robinson and one son, Stanley, both of Medford; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Richards of Salem, Mrs. Daisy Rundall, of Cove, and Miss Mabel Gibson of Seattle; one brother, Ray Gibson of Portland. Mr. Gibson had been ill for the last 3 years.
Funeral services for John Wesley Gibson, 63, who died Wednesday, will be held in Conger-Morris chapel Friday at 10 a.m., with Dr. J. Thomas Dixon of the First Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial park.
The deceased was born July 26, 1891, in Cove, Ore. He had resided in this community for 27 years. He was a member of Carpenters local union 2067. On Jan. 24, 1948, in Medford, he was married to LaVeta Jackson, who survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James E. Stewart, Medord; a son Stanley O., Springfield, Ore.; three sisters, Miss Mabel Sue Gibson, Seattle; Mrs. Bertha richards, Salem, Ore., and Mrs. Daisy Rundell, Cove; a brother, Ray, Portland, and two grandchildren.

A pioneer of 1883, J.L. Gibson, Cove, died at his home March 23 4 a.m. after a lingering illnes five months duration. Hardened arteries causing neuraligia of the head at his advanced age caused his death which came peacefully in his sleep.
James Logan Gibson was born in Nesho, Mo., July 29,1851 and had he lived until July he would have been 85 years of age.
When a young man he went with his parents, to Texas and was married in 1876 to Mollie E Plummer. They, with their three eldest children, came to Oregon in 1883.
Seven children, together with Mrs. Gibson, survive. Logan passed away in 1919. Those surviving are Mrs. H.B. Arthur, of Baker; Mrs. J.E. Rundall and Mrs. Sam Richards, of Cove, James, of Keating; Ray, of Portland, Jack, of Medford, and Mable, of Cove. Also surviving are three brothers, Samuel, Dudley and Edward, all in Texas; ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gibson was a man of whom it has been said "he had no enemies." All
who knew himknew only good of him and he had a host of friends. He was
a member of the M.E. church.

Cove Pioneer, Father of Two Baker County Residents, Succumbs
James Gibson, Sr., of Cove, pioneer Union count resident, died at is home last Wednesday. A daughter, Mrs. H.B. Arthur of Baker, and a son, James Gibson, Jr., of Keating went to Cove to attend funeral services.
Mr. Gibson came to eastern Oregon on the train that was used in construction of the railroad through this section and spent 50 years in the Grande Ronde valley. He engaged in carpentry for many years. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Besides the son and daughter living in Baker county, the deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Gibson; two sons, Ray of Portland and Jack of Medford, and three daughters, Mrs. J. Rundall, Mrs. S. Richards and Mrs. Mabel Gibson of Cove.

COVE. - Feb. 15 - Mrs. Mollie Gibson, 79, died at the home of her grandson, Muriel Rundall, Sunday after being ill several months. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Union and burial was in Rose Ridge cemetery of Cove.
Mollie Plummer was born at Baxter Springs, Mo., July 29, 1859. She was married to James Gibson at Fayette Ark., December 19, 1877. Gibson died March 23, 1936. Eight children were born. Those surviving are Mrs. Sam Richards and Mrs. Jim Rundall of Cove. Mrs. Hamilton Arthur and Jim Gibson of Baker, Miss Mabel Gibson of Bremerton, Ray Gibson of Portland and Jack Gibson of Medford. There are 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One brother, The Rev. Mr. Plummer, lives in La Grande.
Mrs. Gibson had lived in Cove 53 years. She spent one year in Union before coming here.

Mrs. Molly Gibson Dies in Cove
After a long illness, Mrs. Molly Gibson, 79, Cove, died Sunday February 12. Mrs. Gibson was stricken with paralysis in November and did not recover fro it.
She lived with her grandson Muriel Rundall for about a year before she died. When she was stricken her daughter Mabel Gibson gave up her work and came to help care for her mother.
Mrs. Gibson, nee Molly Plummer, was born in Neosho, Mo., July 39, 1859 and spent her childhood days in Neosho where she knew and went to school with the boy she afterwards married. The family moved to Arkansas where they lived for a year and it was here that Molly Plummer and James L. Gibson were married December 19, 1877. They came west in 1882.
Moly was the only daughter with two brothers. There was an uncle in this part of Oregon and they all finally come out here. The Gibsons came in June 1882 and lived in Union for a year and then came to Cove where they lived ever since. They celebrated their golden wedding before Mr. Gibson passed away in 1936.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Daisy Rundall, Mrs. Bertha Richards of Cove, Mrs. Stella Arthur of Baker, Miss Mabel Gibson of Cove; three sons, James of Baker, Jack of Medford, and Ray of Portland; one brother, Rev. Carlos Plummer of Baker, besides several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the funeral parlor in Union at 1:30, and burial in the Cove cemetery.
