Leo Hurly, 70, resident of 1306 O. Ave., and a retired merchant, died Tuesday at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of The Valley Catholic church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. M. M. Crotty the Mass celebrant. Burial will follow in Summerville cemetery.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Daniels Funeral Home.
Born at Forman, N. D.., Feb. 13, 1891, Mr. Hurley had resided here for five years. He was a member of the Catholic church.
Survivors are the widow Mrs. Mary Hurly, La Grande; one son, Dr. William Hurly, Minot, N. D., a brother, William Hurly, Yankton, S. D.; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Chezik, Coos Bay, Mrs. Gertrude Jones, Grand Forks, N. D., and Mrs. Vivian Dwey, Forman, N. D., and seven grandchildren.
Mary Hurley, 85, of 1306 O. Ave., died Tuesday at La Grande Nursing Center.
Mrs. Hurley was born Sept. 22, 1894 at Summerville, the daughter of Charles and Mary Duggan. In 1939 she was married to Leo Hurley at La Grande. He preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1961. Mrs. Hurley was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
Survivors include her sisters, Margaret Golden, La Grande; Ardra Behrens, and Ruth Rollins, both of Summerville; and several nieces and nephews.
Christian wake services are scheduled Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Daniels Valley Funeral Chapel. Requiem funeral mass is scheduled Friday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church with the Father Henry Beegan officiating. Concluding services will follow at Summerville Cemetery.
