IRWIN - AKINS - In this city, Sunday, November 27, 1904, Mr. W.J. Irwin and Miss Myrtle Akins, S.M. Goff, J.P., officiating.

Mr. Elmer Jacobs and Miss May Peterson, both of Union, were married in Salt Lake City Wednesday of this week.

Many Union friends will wish all these young people all manner of good fortune in the new life they have undertaken. May prosperity and happiness attend them.

Miss Pearl Coole, chief telephone operator at Baker for the last 7 years, became the bride of Carl Jacobson, a prosperous young man of North Powder. The young couple were married at pendleton and will make their home in Portland.

The following marriages have been celebrated in Union and Union county the past few days:
Edward Jacobson and Angeline Hopper, in Union, December 22, at the Centennial hotel, C.L. Blakeslee, j.p. officiating. Both parties were from La Grande.

JOHNSON - DRAPER - At the residence of the bride's parents in High valley, G.D. Johnson and Miss Maryette Draper on last Sunday at 2:30 p.m., Rev. G.M. Irwin officiating.

Quite a number of friends were present to witness the ceremony and assist in making way with a sumptuous feast. It was quite a joyous time and all went merry a feast, etc.

JOHN - WILSON - At the residence of John Hasslewood near Summerville, March 4, 1889 by Rev. A. Thompson, assisted by Rev. S. Thurlow, Bishop I. John of Elgin, Or., to Miss Anna Wilson of Toronto, Canada.

In Pendleton, April 1st, 1906, Mr. A. Jones and Miss Cressie Reavis. The newly married couple visited in Elgin this week with Mr. and Mrs. John Raney.

Married: In Elgin on Friday December 28th by Judge J.H. Johnson, Mr. E.E. Jones and Miss Eliza Grant. The judge in getting used to the business of hitching folks together. He furnishes the licenses and his charges are reasonable. He solicits the patronage of those needing his services, so come along Billy.

At the home of the bride's parents, near this city, Monday, March 20, 1905, Miss Mattie Carnahan and Mr. Earl Jones, Rev. Parker, officiating. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Carnahan and has resided in this city several years. The groom is a resident of La Grande, for which city the newly married couple took their departure Monday evening.
