Cast Iron Mary
Under the picture I've put the history of the fountain. A special thanks
to Jean who sent the information!
The fountain is called Cast Iron Mary. She was presented to the city by the Christian Women's Temperance Union on September 7, 1904. She was located on Adams and Depot streets. She was a watering fountain for horses. After the advent of automobiles she was moved to 4th and Depot. She was demolished by a drunk driver in approximately 1924. The house in the background is now Lester Realty. - Jean.
