These are obituaries that I and many others have donated. Mine were transcribed from old newspapers. I got the microfilms through interlibrary loan from the University of Oregon. There are also many others who have donated. If there is no contributor on it, it is something I have transcribed. If there is no link on the contributor's name, they have no further information about that person. It is someone extra on a copy of their families information.

David B. May

Died in La Grande, Friday morning, Oct. 13, 1899, David B. May, aged 84 years and 5 months. Mr. May was among the pioneers of grande Ronde, having made his home in this valley continuously since his arrival here in 1863. For many years Mr. May was one of the highly respected residents of the Cove. After the death of his wife who was also one of the well known and highly respected pioneer residents of Union county, Mr. May removed from Cove to Union. During the past few months his health began to rapidly fall, and he came to La Grande, where his sons reside. the members of the family who are residents of Union county are B.T. and George May of La Grande, and Mrs. S. Burroughs, of Elgin.

Mr. May was buried in Cove cemetry last Saturday afternoon by the side of his wife.

Leonard E. May Dies

E.F. May of this city received the sad news this week that his grandson, Leonard e. May, son of A.B. May of Gaston, had died Monday, Dec. 17, of appendicitis. The young man was 17 years of age, having been born in North Powder in 1911.
