Married at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W.F.(?) Weiss, in this city, February 17th, 1904. Mr. David Scott and Miss Estella Huffman, Elder G.E. Mayfield officiating. The newly wedded couple are well known and respected young people of this section and have the best wishes of a large circle of friends.

MISS ELLA HOBBS IS EASTER BRIDE

The marriage of Miss Ella Mary Hobbs, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hobbs, of this city, to Joseph Belle Scott, of near Elgin, was solemnized at the home of the bride's parents, Easter Sunday, April 12. Rev. Ira McFarland, pastor of the M.E. church read the wedding ceremony, and Mrs. Thomas Shoemaker played the wedding march.

After the wedding ceremony, which took place at 5 o'clock a wedding supper was served by the bride's mother, assisted by Mrs. Shoemaker. Guests present were Rev. and Mrs. Ira McFarland, Grandma Mary Hobbs, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hobbs, and daughters, Ailene and Lenore, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Shoemaker, Misses Helen and Annabelle Tally, Mary and Vera Dalton, Beatrice Dickinson, and Marjorie Myers, and the brothers and sisters of the bride, Messrs Lloyd, Ottis, Archie, and Aubrey Hobbs and Anna and Fern Hobbs.

Mrs. Scott is a graduate of the North Powder high school and taught school the past term near Elgin. The newlyweds left Tuesday for the Minam, where the groom is employed by a sawmill company, and they will make their home in that community.

SCOTT-KUHN - At La Grande, March 23, at the home of the bride, Mark D. Scott to Miss Eva Kuhn. The couple left Monday for their new home at Sioux Fals, South Dakota.
