In SW 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 36, T. l N., R.39 E; from its junction with Oregon Highway 82 at point 1.7 miles S of Elgin, follow Indian Creek Road 2.5 miles to bridge; take left hand road at fork just east of bridge, proceed NE for .8 mile; cemetery is .25 mile NW of road, across field.     MEACHAM CEMETERY





In triangular patch of forest formed by US Highway 1-80N, Meacham Lake road, and frontage road; is about 100 yards south of the freeway at a point just west of the overpass. From Meacham Store take Meacham Lake road under freeway to forks just south of overpass. Right hand fork curves west; at this point cemetery is 100 yards due north up hill, on foot, through wire gate above road. Is in Umatilla County, in Section 3, T .l S, R. 35 E.

Of approximately 15 recognizable gravesites, none could still be identified by name in 1972. The following inscriptions were recorded in 1947:
