!He died of cancer at the age of 60 years, the
father of thirteen children. Three children to his first wife and ten with his
second wife. Hiram's parents died when he was
two years old and he was raised by his older sister Betsy Bishop (Whited)
The Bishop's were of English and Welsh descent.
