Charles F. Pullen

Retired sawmill worker Charles Fremont Pullen of Lostine, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1987 at Elzora Manor in Milton-Freewater. He was 77.
Pullen was born March 9,1910 at Wallowa, the son of Dick and Pearl Pacific Pullen.
He was a sawmill worker by profession. He enjoyed working in his garden, cooking, and was an outdoorsman.
He is survived by two brothers, Jim Pullen of Wallowa, and Bill Pullen, of Enterprise; and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at the Wallowa Christian Church, Wednesday, Sept. 30, with Rev. Lewis Frees officiating. June Marie Wycoff was vocalist. Pallbearers were Wes Gorbett, Randy Gorbet, Rick Pullen, Ken Barklow, Bill Boyd, and Rick Boyd. Interment was in the Wallowa Cemetery.

Funeral services for Goldie Pullen will be held Saturday, Feb. 29, 11 a.m. at the Bollman Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Enterprise Cemetery.
Mrs. Pullen died Feb. 25, 1992, at the Wallowa County Nursing Home.
Memorial in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Foundation in care of the Bollman Funeral Home in Enterprise.

Goldie Pullen

Enterprise resident, Goldie Pullen, 84, died Feb. 25, 1992, at the Wallowa County Nursing Home.
She was born June 13, 1907, at Palouse Wash., the daughter of Tom and Cora (Eller) Vantrease.
On June 13, 1925, she married William C. Pullen at Wallowa.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and a member of the Women's Ministries.
Goldie loved taking care of her home and family.
Survivors include her husband, William C. of Enterprise; son William E. of Elgin; daughters, Bernadine Hawley, Shirley Brock, and Wilda Davis, all of Enterprise; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 29 at 11 a.m. at the Bollman Funeral Home with vault interment following in the Enterprise Cemetery.
Memorial in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Foundation in care of Bollman Funeral Home, 315 W. Main in Enterprise.

Reta M. Pullen

Reta M. Pullen of Wallowa, 75, died at Wallowa Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, July 15, 1980. She had been a resident of Wallowa County all of her life.
The daughter of Leonard and Daisy Crader Baker, she was born on April 16, 1905, in the Swamp Creek area of rural Enterprise.
On June 7, 1936, she was married to James Ivan Pullen in La Grande. She had previously been married to Fred Wilson, deceased.
She was a member of AARP and the Wallowa County Christian Church Ladies Aid.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, at the Wallowa Christian Church, with Bruce Hill officiating.
Soloist Nyoda Scott will sing "In The Garden" and "Beyond The Sunset"; and also serve as organist.
Bearers will be Ronnie, David and Danny Baker, and Leo. Wesley and Randy Gorbett.
Interment will be in the Wallowa Cemetery. Bollman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, James I Pulen, of Wallowa; two sons, Stanley Wilson of Council, Id., and Richard Pullen, Stanfield; one brother, Maurice Baker of Summerville; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Those who wish may contribute in her memory to the Wallowa Christian Church, care of Bollman Funeral Home, Enterprise.

William C. Pullen

Wallowa County native, William C. Pullen, died May 11, 1996, at the Wallowa County Nursing Home.
He was born June 20, 1906, at Wallowa, the son of Benjamin Franklin (Dick) and Pearl (Roberts) Pullen.
On June 14, 1927, he married his wife, Mary Goldie at Wallowa. She preceded him in death on Feb. 25, 1992.
He was a mill worker most of his life, starting in La Grande at Bowman Hicks Mill. He was transferred to their mill in Wallowa in 1940. He also worked for J. Herbert Mill. He was a checker on the car line for a number of years then worked as a fork lift operator for several years.
In 1958, he and his wife Goldie moved to Enterprise where they made their home. He became a janitor at Wallowa Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home until his retirement in 1978.
He was a devoted husband and father. His hobbies were taking care of his home, and dong yard work. He was especially proud of his roses. He also enjoyed fishing and duck hunting.
He is survived by daughters Wilda Davis, Bernadine Hawley and Shirley Brock, all of Enterprise; son, William Pullen of Elgin; brother, Jim Pullen of Wallowa; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charley.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 16, at 11 a.m. at the Bollman Funeral Home, with vault interment to follow at the Enterprise Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Wallowa County Nursing Home or Wallowa Memorial Hospital in care of the Bollman Funeral Home, 315 W. Main, Enterprise.
