Joseph P. Munkers, son of Benjamin (1831-1919) married Mrs. Ella T. Wilson on 12 June 1902 in Linn County. They are found on the 1905, 1910 and 1920 Shelburn census. Old records reflect that Ella T. died in 1931 and is buried beside him.

Thomas McLean Munkers, son of Benjamin Munkers, was born in Jackson Co., MO. He married first, Phoebe Ann Crabtree, daughter of Washington Crabtree. Thomas M. and Phoebe had three children: Sarah J. (who married John Smallman), George W. (who died in Marion County in June 1902), and Sterling Price (who married Maggie McKnight).

He married second, Mary Jane Chrisman, by whom he had three children: Ida (who married Ed King), James Clinton (who married Mary C. Grimes), and Cora J.

T. M. Munkers appears on the 1860 Scio census with his wife Phoebe, and daughter Sarah. He appears on the 1870 and 1880 census with wife Mary Jane, and children: Sarah J., George W., Sterling P., William P., Ida, James Clinton, and Cora J.
