West side of Main Street between Grant and Maple

 

On the west side of Main between Grant and Maple is a General Merchandise store, a Drug Store, two unnamed Stores, a Dwelling and a Harness Shop with a Dwelling in the rear.

 

East side of Main Street, Lebanon, 1884, between Grant and Maple. "H.W." on the corner is now the Wells Fargo Bank. Next to the Hardware(?) Store is a Drug Store, a Jewelry Store, a Millinery, and a Dwelling, followed by two Blacksmith buildings with a wagon shop in the back. Next to the Blacksmith was a Church, also marked as "Masonic Hall," a Store and a Dwelling.

In the next block of Main Street, between Grant and Sherman (west side of the street), was a Saloon, a "B & S" (boot and shoe?), a Grocery Store, an unnamed Store, an Office, a Meat Shop, a Jewelry Store, and another Grocery Store.

On the east side between Grant and Sherman was a building marked "Burkhart & Bilgens Livery" (sic) with an X through it, a Dwelling, a small Store, a Grociers and a General Merchandise Store.

In the next block on the west side between Sherman and Ash was a Chinese Wash House, an unnamed Store, a Barber, two Stores, and the St. Charles Hotel with Kitchen and Dining in the rear.

On the east side of Main between Sherman and Ash was a Tinware and Stove Store (also marked I.O.O.F. Hall), the Exchange Hotel, a dwelling, a Millinery and a Saloon.

The Public Hall was on the corner of Sherman and Second, with a small Jail down the street. A Public School was where the current Public Library sits at the corner of Ash and Second.
