Fayette County Genealogy ProjectCorrections Corrections If you find a single entry that needs corrected, email me at FayetteCemeteriesOnline@verizon.net with the single correction. I need the name of the cemetery, the person’s correct name and correct dates of birth and death. Please do not include a lengthy narrative of the person’s genealogy. If I need additional information, I will contact you. More than one correction must be submitted using the format illustrated below. Using Excel or any other spreadsheet format, the first column must have the cemetery name as it appears on the website. In the case of two cemeteries by the same name, you may enter something such as St. John’s-Masontown and St. John’s-Uniontown to differentiate. The second column must have the surname in all CAPITAL letters. Do not include suffixes such as Jr., Sr. or III. The third column must have the given name and any prefix or suffix such as Dr., Rev., Jr. or Sr. Maiden names should be entered here, not in the OTHER column The fourth and fifth columns must be dates entered in the following manner. MM/DD/YYYY. Any files that have months spelled out, the European format (12 Feb 1888), or dashes, rather than slashes, between the Month, Day and Year can not be accepted for submission. The final column may contain anything else that might be read from a marker. This might be s/o William & Mary, d/o James and Sally, WWII, Korean War. Do not include a narrative, genealogical notes or anything else that would not be found on a cemetery marker. Such information will be deleted at the discretion of the editor. Thank you for your co-operation.
