PROJECT HISTORY

In May of 1997, this project was organized by Jeff Murphy, using the established KY Biographies Project as a model.  State coordinators were sought to set  up their own state project.  They were offered the system design and tools created for the KY project, but were free to set up their project in any way they chose.  I am Rodger Crandall and I am the 
coordinator for Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.  If you have biographies you would like to
donate for Lycoming County, please contact me.  Volunteers are needed to enter, edit, and 
archive the biographies for each project.  If you would like to volunteer to coordinate a county, please contact the Pennsylvania State Coordinator, Martha A Crosley Graham.

Submission Guidelines

This is first and foremost; DO NOT post materials protected by copyright other than your own!  Any posted biographies foundto be protected by a copyright of someone other than the submitter will be removed.  Books and biography collections printed prior to 1931 are generally not protected by copyright and are considered to be in the public domain.  Photo static re-prints or duplications of pre-1931 works are not protected by current copyright.  The short story here is:  Make sure your source books are pre-1931 originals, or re-prints or copies of pre-1931 originals.  Make sure all original works are accompanied by your copyright notice, which is at the least the word "copyright", your name, and the date.
