GEORGE BARBER, WILLIAM BAILEY, JAMES [CADE?] & WILLIS POPE to RODERICK EARLEY


"State of Georgia  This Indenture made the eleventh day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine between George Barber, William Bailey James Cade & Willie Pope of the Counties of Wilkes & Oglethorpe & State aforesaid of the one part & Roderick Easley of the County of Clark & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said George Barber William Bailey James Cade & Wylie Pope for the Consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars lawful money of the said state to them in hand well & truly paid by the said Roderick Easley at or before the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained, sold released & confirmed by these presents doth grant bargain, sell release & confirm unto him the said Roderick Easley his heirs & assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County of Franklin at the time of convey but now in the County of Jackson & State aforesaid on !
the South side of the south fork of the middle fork of the Oconee River containing by estimation three hundred & Seventy one Acres be the same more or less which will more fully appear by a plot & grant to George Mathews bearing date the third day of June one thousand eight hundred & one & conveyed by the said George Mathews by ? to the said George Barber, William Bailey James Cade & Wilie Pope bearing date the twenty sixth day of July one thousand eight hundred & seven, bounded as follows  Beginning at a Corner beach on said River running south twenty east forty Chains to a Corner black Oak thence south ? West eighty Chains to a corner Hickory, thence North twenty west twenty five Chains to a ? Hickory thence south seventy East one Chain to a Corner black Oak thence north twenty ? thirty Chains, to a Corner Hickory on said River thence down the various courses of said river to the beginning Corner Beach - Together with all & singular the rights members & appurtenances there!
to whatsoever to the said tract of Land eblonging or anywise Appurtaining the remainders, reversions?, rents, issues & property thereof to & every part thereof, To have & to hold the said tract of Land & all & singular members the premises & appurtenances thereunto belonging as aforesaid ? unto him the said Roderick Easley his heirs & assigns.  And them the said George Barber William Bailey, James Cade & Willie Pope their heirs & Assigns do warrant & forever defend the above said tract of Land & premises against them the said George Barber Willaim Bailey James Cade & Willie Pope & their heirs but no other person or persons whatsoever  In Witness whereof the said George Barber William Bailey James Cade & Willie Pope hath hereunto set their hand & affixed their seals the day & date above written

GEORGE MENEFEE to TANDY KEY, Book ?

Jackson County
"This Indenture and entered into this the fourteenth day of January in the year of our lord One thousand Eight hundred and twenty two between George Menefee of one part and Tandy Key of the other part both of County and State aforesaid Witnesseth that the sais George Menefee for and in consideration of the sum of Ten thousand dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant Bargain, sell release confirm to said Tandy Key all that tract of land or parcel of land containing two hundred Seventy eight acres more or less Situated in the County and State aforesaid and on the Mullberry fork of Oconee River granted to George Mathews beginning on a beach on said River thence S 20 E 40 chains to red oak thence South 70 W 45 chains to a poplar thence N 3 W 74 chains to haen? ?? Corner on said River thence down the Meanders of said River to the beginning Corner with All and singular the rights members and app!
urtenances thereunto belonging thereunto or in any wise appertaining and every part thereof unto the said Tandy Key his heirs and assigns the premises aforesaid and every part thereof to the said Tandy Key his heirs and assigns and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever Claiming or to claim any part thereof shall and will forever warrant & defend  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and date above written
